Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti confirm their codeshare agreement

Code share Air Tahiti Nui & Air Tahiti

Papeete, June 3, 2026

Polynesian airlines Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti are pleased to confirm the activation of their codeshare signed in December 2025. In line with the announced schedule, passengers will be able to book and travel on the first flights operated under this commercial partnership starting today, Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

This partnership allows Air Tahiti Nui to place its TN code on selected inter-island flights operated by Air Tahiti. The agreement opens new travel opportunities for visitors to The Islands of Tahiti, making it easier to reach the island of Bora Bora in French Polynesia, as well as Rarotonga in the Cook Islands.

Travelers can now book a single ticket that includes:

  • An international flight operated by Air Tahiti Nui (from Europe, the United States, Japan, New Zealand or Australia),
  • And an inter-island flight between Tahiti and their final destination—Bora Bora or Rarotonga—operated by Air Tahiti.

Passengers will travel aboard the Tahitian Dreamliner (Boeing 787-9 aircraft) on international flights operated by Air Tahiti Nui, and ATR 72 aircraft on inter-island flights operated by Air Tahiti.

This agreement strengthens the ties between the two airlines and represents a significant step forward in the travel experience to The Islands of Tahiti, offering international travelers greater convenience in planning their itineraries.

About Air Tahiti :
Air Tahiti is the leading inter-island airline in French Polynesia, based at Tahiti-Faa’a International Airport, since 65 years.

Deeply connected to its Polynesian roots and resolutely focused on the future, Air Tahiti offers you a unique travel experience and an unforgettable Polynesian welcome. Air Tahiti embodies te natiraa o te mau motu, the essential connection between the islands of French Polynesia and between people, both locally and around the world.

Air Tahiti is a private Polynesian company providing public service across the five archipelagos of The Islands of Tahiti. Its network has gradually expanded to serve a growing number of islands. Today, its fleet of ETOPS-qualified ATR aircraft connects more than 90% of the country's inhabited islands. Air Tahiti's network covers 48 islands in French Polynesia spread over a territory as vast as Europe or North America, with an international destination, Rarotonga, in the Cook Islands. The distance between the islands can vary from 15 km (Tahiti-Moorea) to 1,600 km (Tahiti-Mangareva, in the Gambier Islands), the equivalent of a flight from Paris to Stockholm or New York to Miami. To provide this service, Air Tahiti operates a state-of-the-art fleet of 10 ATR 72-600 and 2 ATR 42-600. The airline regularly renews its aircraft to maintain the latest standards in comfort, performance, and safety. Since 2017, Air Tahiti has been the first airline in the world to adorn its aircraft with Polynesian patterns inspired by traditional tattoos, thus affirming its strong cultural identity. It is also actively involved in local social and environmental initiatives. With more than 1,600 employees in The Islands of Tahiti, Air Tahiti is now the largest private employer in French Polynesia.
